While working in a lawyer’s office, Kay crossed paths with Sue on many an occasion. Having decided a small rental property would be a good investment in one’s back pocket in 1995, Kay naturally turned to Sue for help.
Some 20 years later, Kay made another call to Sue not about real estate investing, but rather a little closer to home. Age and health reasons had caught up with Kay and John making it necessary for them to downsize from their Langley home on acreage to a townhouse.
When Joyce contacted Sue from Taipai, by way of an email, about residential homes in the Walnut Grove area - Sue had no idea if Joyce was serious. Sue would only hear years later that Buddha had a hand in guiding Joyce and her husband to her.
But that’s getting ahead of this great introduction. It was only after numerous Skype calls back and forth – in Joyce’s rather broken English – that Sue and Joyce met in person. Sue picked up Joyce and Joyce’s mother-in-law from the Travelodge in downtown Vancouver in October 2010 and found the home that her family lives in today. These soon-to-be permanent residents to Canada, would call upon Sue and Dan – in much improved English – to help them enter the commercial real estate market a few years later.
Settled in an older character home that they remodeled in Pitt Meadows, Jessica and her husband Antonio dreamed of owning a hobby farm. Unfamiliar with acreage properties, Jessica and Antonio knew they needed a REALTOR® to guide them.
Dan came highly recommended by her parents having helped Jessica’s mother and father with real estate dealings in the past and being a long-time friend of her father. Jessica and Antonio gave themselves a three-year window to make their dream a reality. It didn’t take three years. In fact, the property they noticed, and thought was out of their price range, ended up being the one they bought in a period of a couple months.
Now with a bigger home and five acres, Jessica and Antonio have accomplished the lifestyle they wanted to provide for their growing family and dog. Their next purchase - chickens and goats. Watch out for their fresh farm gate sales including free-range eggs and produce!
Who would have thought that an off-the-cuff recommendation from a friend, when Judy was looking for a REALTOR®, would turn into five house transactions and a lasting friendship 20 years later.
When Judy, and her husband (at the time) wanted a bigger house in Fort Langley, Sue was there to help them and a couple other houses thereafter. When circumstances dictated a sale after a marriage breakup, Sue, with her personable and supportive way, was there for Judy’s transition into a townhouse.
Once common place in certain societies, having one’s parents move in with you during their golden years is becoming less and less. Ina remembers the challenges that Sue had over 12 years ago when they asked her to find a Langley home with an in-law suite.
With Ina’s mother passing, followed by the breakup of her marriage in 2016, Ina called upon Sue to assist her in selling the family home, downsizing to a one-bedroom apartment, and finding a retirement home for her father. Sue did not let her down.
